This beautiful coffee comes from the Guji Zone in Ethiopia’s Oromia Region, specifically sourced from the Denbi Udado coffee mill near Shakiso.
The coffee is fully washed, with care taken at every step. Farmers handpick ripe cherries before depulping and fermenting them for 36–48 hours. After that, they wash the beans to remove the mucilage. The beans dry naturally in parchment on raised beds for 10–12 days, until they reach the perfect moisture level of 11.5%.
This is a Grade 1 coffee — a top-quality, premium classification that reflects its excellence.
Guji coffees are celebrated for their bright and fruity character, with lovely floral and complex flavour notes. You might taste hints of stone fruits, berries, tropical sweetness, and a graceful, tea-like finish. Washed Ethiopian coffees like this one are known for their clean, vibrant profile and a delightful balance of sweetness and spice.
